Method and equipment for the transport of rail-mounted vehicles

A method and equipment are proposed for the transport of rail-mounted vehicles in and out of functional regions with positioning intermediate in time, the last-named process being carried out on the basis of an electrically or electronically controlled driving diagram. The equipment for transporting and positioning is implemented by means of at least one side-arm tractor connected to a drive unit, the tractor driving the whole train or units thereof in a cyclic fashion in and out of the corresponding functional region.
