At the start of roadways, in the coal face/roadway transition region and in similar situations, chain scraper conveyors can be used without roller curves and similar complex constructions in that a multiplicity of identically constructed conveying troughs are connected to one another via a joint arranged centrally with respect to the bottom and baseplate. Furthermore, the side profiles are nested in one another in a joint-shaped manner, so that, overall, a good adaptability of such a curving articulated conveyor to the specified conditions underground results. <IMAGE>
