PURPOSE:To obtain an antigenic polypeptide by forming a recombinant vector with a fragment containing the DNA coding p-21 of adult T cell leukemia virus coat protein gene origin with a specified site of this DNA nicked. CONSTITUTION:Lymphocytes are separated from the peripheral blood of an adult T cell leukemia patient, and from the DNA extracted from said lymphocyte a fragment (HTLV-15'-3' fragment) containing the DNA coding p21 and nicked at a site within 17 base pairs upstream from the 5' end of this DNA is taken out. This fragment is incorporated into the cloning site of a silkworm manifestation vector (pBF vector) to form a recombinant vector. Thence, using this vector, the HTLV-15'-3' fragment is put to recombination with part of the polyhedral protein structure gene of BmNPV, thus producing the objective recombinant virus. |
