The ash tray box (1) includes a main body (2), two part covers (3) each pivotally opening on pins toward sides in opposition, a cone- shaped protrusion (4) in the center of the bottom floor, and a corrugated mid plate (6) disposed in the midle of the inner wall. The mid plate (6) has invertly curved edges (7) to make openings (8) relative to the wall, and the grooves of corrugation are filled with perfumed water to extinguish fire and receive ash. A chamber under the plate receives butts through openings (8). The central protrusion having a number of apertures (13) at its bottom receives a sponge piece (14) to be capped with a cap (15). Pressing the cap, the sponge soaked with water gives the water through the apertures to the grooves (10).
