<p>PURPOSE:To remove disturbance in a steering system by cutting an assist signal by a hysteresis means when the torsional torque of a steering system is below a defined value as in the case of disturbance from a road surface. CONSTITUTION:A drive control portion 2 is connected to an assist command portion 3, a return command portion 4, a phase compensation command portion 5, and a steering angle position compensation command portion 6. The assist command portion 3 generates an assist signal corresponding to the size and direction of the torsional torque of a steering system, while having a sensor 31 and an assist torque value indicating function portion 32. The sensor 31 is installed on a pinion and detects the direction and size of the torsional torque thereof and, based on the output voltage signal of the torque sensor 31, the assist torque valve indicating function portion 32 outputs an assist signal which is increased/reduced in accordance with the value of the torsional torque with a polarity corresponding to the direction of the torsional torque when the magnitude of the torsional torque is above a defined value, while outputting no signal when below the define value.</p> |
