The pyrotechnic fuse comprises a reactive laminate. It has a number of films of electron-emitting or donor material, interleaved with others of electron-receiving or acceptor material, deposited in succession from the vapour condition onto a substratum. The two materials together give an exothermal reaction when exposed to heat. One or more intermediate films of moderator material can be included.
