PURPOSE:To obtain a healthy nutriment, containing Gynostemma pentaphyllum Makino and Houttuynia cordata Thunb. as materials and useful for preserving health and maintaining physical strength. CONSTITUTION:A healthy nutriment obtained by drying whole folk medicinal herbs, such as Gynostemma pentaphyllum Makino and Houttuynia cordata Thunb. and powdering the dried herbs. The Houttuynia cordata Thunb. is used in an amount of 1.5 times based on the Gynostemma pentaphyllum Makino and powdered as finely as possible. The resultant powder is subsequently used as a culture medium required for fermenting yeast fungi and water and saccharides are added to provide a culture medium. Yeast fungal spawns are then inoculated to keep the obtained culture medium at 37-38 deg.C and propagate the yeast fungi. A wheat bran KOJI (yeast) is subsequently blended to carry out brewing and aging and the resultant substance is dried. A lactic acid solution obtained by fermenting lactic acid bacteria is then added thereto, stirred and permeated to afford the objective substance. Collective effects of the Gynostemma pentaphyllum Makino and Houttuynia cordata Thunb. can be combined with effects of the yeast fungi to provide universal combined effects. |
