With an arrangement for protecting against ingress of leakage into the earth and/or the sewerage system when transferring substances harmful to water from tankers, having a collecting trough on which the tanker is to be driven for collecting the leakage, a solution is to be provided with which it can be guaranteed that, in collecting troughs of the type designated at the beginning, no substances harmful to water can get into the earth and in particular into the sewerage system or can mix with water. This is achieved in that the collecting trough (3) is provided with a sealable water-discharge line (13) and a sealable harmful-substance-discharge line (14), the seals (11, 12) of which are positively coupled deviating from one another in an open or closed position and can be actuated by an adjusting device (26), triggered by the driving onto or away from the collecting trough (3), in such a way that, when the tanker drives over the collecting trough (3), the water-discharge line (13) is closed and the harmful-substance-discharge line (14) is opened. <IMAGE>
