<p>PURPOSE:To cause an intermediate repeater to make alarm-monitoring to a whole transmission line by providing interface sections which perform extraction/insertion of the overhead of the transmission line and transmission-reception with the outside in the intermediate repeater and terminal-station repeater. CONSTITUTION:An alarm-monitoring device 5 sets a signal route in the order of a signal line 2D, intermediate repeater interface section 2A, signal line 2B, transmission line, signal line 3E, terminal-station repeater interface section 3B, signal line 3F and requests an alarm-monitoring interface section 3A to send monitoring information. The interface section 3A sets a signal route in the order of a signal line 3G, the interface section 3B, a signal line 3D, a transmission line, a signal line 2C, the interface section 2A of the intermediate repeater, and a signal line 2E and sends collected alarm-monitoring information to the alarm-monitoring device 5. Therefore, the intermediate repeater can monitor the whole transmission line.</p> |
