<p>A production unit for a lightweight building material useful as a heat insulating material or filler, comprises a foam-forming section comprising storage vessels for water and foam base material, a compressed air appts., metering device, and press. and control valves for incorporating the correct amt. of air into a vessel contg. water and foam base; a continuously operating mixing section in which the mixers also act as transport devices and pumps; a section for storage and/or prodn. of coarse lightweight additives; an outlet system after the mixing station for incorporating the foam into the wet base materials under compressed air press., consisting of a lead for the wet base material into which is connected a lead for the foam; and a common outlet with inserts to cause homogeneous mixing of the mortar with the foam. The resulting lightweight mortar may be cast into moulds and hardened to form building blocks or other building elements, or the wet mixt. may be transported directly by means of a concrete pump or skip on a building site.</p> |
