PURPOSE:To properly divide a texture area by binarizing respective image data in fine sections constituting an original image, dividing the spacially high density area of the binary data and dividing the texture on the basis of superposition to the spacially high density area of the binarized data. CONSTITUTION:Respective image data of picture elements in fine sections constituting an original image are binarized to form a binarized data, the spacially high density area of the binarized data is divided and the texture area is divided on the basis of the area divided by the spacial continuity of the binarized data and superpotion to the spacially high density area of the binary data. Since a certain kind of constitutional element exists in the texture area at comparatively high density, the density can be easily divided. Since the area division is also based upon superposition to the areas divided by the spacial continuity of the binary data in addition to the density, the boundary of the areas can be cleared and proper division can be attained. |
