The mold includes an upper mold (13) to be closed over the lower mold (21, 17, 16), having a projecting portion (36a, 36b) with a bottom surface which is to be a part of the upper molding surface; and a middle mold (14) to be placed between the upper mold and the lower mold, having an open ended aperture (34) into which the projecting portion of the upper mold is to be engaged when assembled. The middle mould (14) is lighter in weight, resulting in the mould being easier to assemble and avoiding the development of undesirable spacing between the mould parts, compared to the prior art, in which the upper mould projection rests within a closed ended aperture of the middle mould. The skin cover (26) is clamped between an upper portion (16) of the lower mould, and a rib (24) projecting upwardly from the middle mould (14).
