During the driers' operation, hot air carrying water vapour is discharged, and it is correspondingly replaced with fresh air of low temperature and humidity. When the drier is operated in low temperatures, (not exceeding 55-60 degrees Celsius), then the traditional method of using an air - air or air - water exchanger between discharged and fresh air, does not cause serious economic or technical concern, since it is not possible to receive energy by liquefaction of displaced air. The recommended method uses a heat pump between discharged and fresh air, or recycled air, which is able to cool the discharged air until liquefaction of all evaporated air within the drier, and recover the corresponding discharged heat by also cooling it by pumping additional heat. The recommended method can be used in any low temperature drier or any other system requiring low temperature heating, up to 60 degrees Celsius, with simultaneous air renewal. |
