PURPOSE:To alleviate the pressure contact impact of a paper bail by temporarily bringing the cam follower of a paper bail arm into contact with the engaging cam of a second operation cam face of a release cam when the arm is reset by the elasticity of a first elastic member. CONSTITUTION:A can follower 44 is brought into slidable contact with a second operation cam face 42 when a paper bail 9 is reset from a releasing position to a pressure contact position. Further, a stepped engaging cam 43 is formed at the intermediate of the cam face 42 of a releasing cam 24. The follower 44 of a paper bail arm 7 brought into slidable contact with the cam face 42 is temporarily brought into contact with the cam 43. The cam 43 is temporarily decelerated slightly before the bail 9 is brought into pressure contact with a platen 3 by the resetting rotation by the contact of the arm 7 with the follower 44. |
