SILVER HALIDE PHOTOGRAPHIC SENSITIVE MATERIAL FOR PLATE MAKING HAVING EXCELLENT REDUCTION PROCESSING CHARACTERISTIC

PURPOSE:To decrease the amt. of the silver to be coated per unit area and to widen the reduction width without deteriorating reduction processing suitability by incorporating fine silver halide particles having <=0.60mum average grain size into photosensitive silver halide emulsion layers and incorporating the fine particles doped with a matting agent having 1.0-10mum average grain size and specific metal into the outermost layer of nonphotosensitive hydrophilic colloidal layers. CONSTITUTION:This photosensitive material has at least one layer of the photosensitive silver halide emulsion layers on a base and >=two kinds of the nonphotosensitive hydrophilic colloidal layers thereon. The material contains the fine silver halide particles having <=0.60mum average grain size in the photosensitive silver halide emulsion layers and contains the matting agent having 1.0-10mum average grain size and the fine particles of tin oxide and indium oxide or these oxides doped with the metal selected from antimony and phosphorus in the outermost layer of the nonphotosensitive hydrophilic colloidal layers. Said layers further preferably contain a tetrazolium compd. or hydrazine compd. The reduction processing suitability is improved in this way and the reduction width is increased without deteriorating the reduction processing suitability even if the amt. of the silver to be coated per unit area is decreased.
