PURPOSE:To obtain expanded or contracted image data of high quality by expanding/contracting the image data so that the thickness of plural ruled lines or the like are almost fixed in any position. CONSTITUTION:Whether one dot (or two dots) of the original image data is converted into two dots or one dot in accordance with an expansion rate (contraction rate) is decided and OR processing is executed on the basis of the decided result to output dot image data. In case of executing power variable processing and transferring image data in order to display or print out image data having an expansion rate or contraction rate consisting of a fraction, the expansion/contraction processing is executed so that the thickness of ruled lines is almost fixed in any position. Consequently, the image data of high quality can be obtained. |
