PURPOSE:To reduce the replenishing amount of a processing solution, the pollution load and a processing cost, etc. by specifying the amount of a replenisher to a less than specified value, and by treating a washing water with a reverse osmotic membrane. CONSTITUTION:The replenisher is specified to <=120ml per 1m<2> of the photosensitive material in a color development step, <=240ml per 1m<2> of the material in a bleach-fix step and <=500ml per 1m<2> of the material in a water washing step respectively, and a color developer does not substantially contain benzyl alcohol, and a washing water is treated with the reverse osmotic membrane. Namely, the water of a 3rd. washing tank 5 is introduced into a stock tank 11, and then treated with the reverse osmotic membrane, and the obtd. permeated water 9 is supplied to a tank 5, and the condensed solution 8 is returned to the tank 11. The overflowed solution of the tank 5 due to a replenished fresh water 10 is all fed to the tank 11, and the washing water is supplied to a 2nd. washing tank 4 through the tank 11 by a pump P2 6. Thus, the water of a final washing tank is treated with the reverse osmotic membrane using the tank 11, and the permeated water is highly purified. Therefore, the replenishing amount of the processing solution is reduced without generating a residual color in the processing solution, and the pollution load and the processing cost are reduced. |
