PURPOSE:To provide recessed and projected patterns of high surface hardness by impregnating a foamed material with thermosetting resin, pressing the same by means of a recessed and projected pattern mold and thermosetting the applied resin simultaneously. CONSTITUTION:For instance, a fiber reinforced acid setting phenol resin foamed plate of 500kg/m<3> density and 4.5cm width, 1.8m length and one(1) cm thickness is impregnated with thermo-setting phenol resin by dipping, which is disposed on a recessed and projected mold of wood grain-like patterns of 3mm difference of recesses and projections, pressed at 10kg/cm<2>, heated up to 120 deg.C simultaneously, retaining the state as it is for 30 minutes and released. A plate material thus manufactured is of extremely beautiful recessed and projected patterns on a smooth surface and of high surface hardness. |
