A structure for mounting an air cleaner (4) in an engine compartment. The air cleaner (4) is supported on an engine (2) and a transmission (3) having different vibration frequencies. Therefore, the frequency of an applied vibration force does not coincide with the natural frequency of the air cleaner (4), with the result that resonance of the air cleaner (4) is prevented and reliability of the air cleaner (4) is improved.
