<p>PURPOSE:To obtain an ink composition which can give an image of a high density and a high water resistance and has a marked electroviscous effect by dispersing or suspending dielectrically polarizable polymer particles dyed with a reactive dye in an insulating liquid. CONSTITUTION:This ink composition is obtained by dispersing or suspending dielectrically polarizable polymer particles (e.g., cellolose powder) which can be dyed with a reactive dye (a colored compound having a functional group through which a covalent bond can be formed between the dyed piece and the dye by a chemical reaction with the dyed piece, for example, C.I. Reactive Yellow 1-71 or C.I. Reactive Red 1-115) in an insulating liquid of an electrical resistance >=10<5>OMEGAcm (e.g., bromonaphthalane). This ink composition can give a high-density, water-resistant image and can give a marked electroviscous effect as compared with those of other ink compositions.</p> |
