PURPOSE:To obtain the title composition having an excellent adhesiveness to an unsaturated carboxylic acid-modified polyolefin and being useful for a multilayer construction of films or the like by adding a specified amount of an alkali metal secondary or tertiary phosphate to an ethylene/vinyl acetate copolymer saponificate. CONSTITUTION:An alkali metal secondary or tertiary phosphate (e.g., dipotassium hydrogenphosphate) in an amount to give 15-250ppm alkali metal and 5-70ppm P based on the final saponificate is added to an ethylene/vinyl acetate copolymer saponificate of an ethylene content of 20-60mol% and a degree of saponification of the vinyl acetate component >=95mol%. A substituted phenol derivative [e.g., 1,1,3-tris(2-methyl-4-hydroxy-5-t-butylphenyl)butane] and a thioether compound {e.g., tetrakis[methylene-3-(dodecylthio)propionate] methane} are added to the obtained mixture. |
