PURPOSE:To increase the connecting area and improve the junction strength by means of a simple method without using a particular jig by fixing a flat conductor cable to a connecting element while its insulating layer being sheared by the connecting element. CONSTITUTION:A connecting element is formed of a pin 1 of a contact terminal part connected to the outside and a support fixing part. The support fixing part consists of a plate part 2 and a support piece 3, between which a flat conductor cable 8 is supported. The support piece 3 is formed so that it is situated obliquely to the plane surface of the plate part 2, and after supporting the cable 8, it is pressed so as to be in parallel with the surface of the plate part 2, shearing the insulating layer 8b of the cable 8, and brought into contact with the conductor part 8a in the conductor exposed surface formed by said shearing. The support piece 3 is pressed, and then springily engaged with a receiving part provided in the back of the plate part 2 through a notch 6 and a teeth 7, fixing the cable 8 physically firmly and properly. |
