A perforator has an inner drum (18) positioned within an outer drum (16). The drums define a nip through which a web (12) of photographic film or other material is fed for forming perforations (14) in the web by punches (88) and dies on the drums. The dies are formed in a strip carried by the outer drum, and the punches are on disks on the inner drum. The die strip and disks are easily replaced when the dies and punches become worn.
