INTERPOLATING FILTER AND RECEIVER HAVING THE INTERPOLATING FILTER

PURPOSE: To simplify the constitution of an interpolation filter by connecting and equalization circuit and a correction circuit including an LPF to a medial filter. CONSTITUTION: A median filter 9 has three input terminals 1, 3 and 11 which receive signals x1 to x3 of three pixels existing around the pixel to be interpolated. An equalization circuit 25 of an interpolation circuit 21 receives signals X3 and X4 of two signals existing at the opposite side to the pixel to be interpolated. The output of the circuit 25 is applied to a subtraction circuit 31 to undergo the subtraction with the output of the filter 9 and then inputted to an LPF 39. The output of the LPF 39, i.e., the output of the circuit 21 is applied to a synthesizing circuit 17 and synthesized with the output of the filter 9.
