PURPOSE:To decide under-mentioned received fluorescence to be the fluorescence of a microorganism if the spectrum of said fluorescence is equal to a specified spectrum by projecting laser light upon the microorganism dyed with fluorescent dye, and detecting intensity about three wavelength bands of the spectrum distribution of the received fluorescence. CONSTITUTION:The laser light from an argon laser tube 1 scans a membrane filter 4 through a scanning mirror 2 and a converging lens 3. The fluorescence emitted by the microorganism is converged by the converging lens 8, and is inputted to a spectrum light receiving system 12. In the light receiving system 12, the fluorescence is divided by half mirrors 13a, 14a, and is band-selected by interference filters 13b, 14b, 15b, and is converged by the converging lenses 13c, 14c, 15c, and is received by light receivers 13d, 14d, 15d. The light receiving voltage of each light receiver is inputted to a signal processing part 18 through an amplifier 16 and an A/D converter 17, and the crest value of each light receiving voltage is detected. Each crest value is compared with the specified spectrum distribution of the microorganism set beforehand by a microorganism deciding part 19, and it is decided whether it is the fluorescence by the microorganism or not. |
