PURPOSE: To effectively inhibit the system water for crude oil production from being polluted by sessile bacteria by adding an effective amount of an alkanediol at first, then an effective amount of isothiazolone. CONSTITUTION: In the first step, one or more kinds of alkanediol, particularly pentane diol (in an amount of about 50-4,000ppm), is added alone or as a mixture thereof with a quaternary ammonium halide or phosphonium halide, subsequently an effective amount of a compound of the formula (R1 is a 1-8C alkyl, a cycloalkyl; R<2> and R<3> are each H or a halogen), particularly 5-chloro-2-methyl- isothiazolin-3-one is added in an amount of about 0.25-5ppm) sequentially, preferably continuously to effectively inhibit the crude petroleum production system from being biologically polluted by sessile bacteria, particularly sulfate-reducing bacteria substantially in the absence of oxygen. |
