PURPOSE:To make the battery capacity constant and made an electrolyte regenerator compact by charging or discharging a battery while driving the electrolyte regenerator. CONSTITUTION:A positive electrode 6 and a negative electrode 7 are separated by a barrier membrane 5, an electrolyte containing a positive electrode active material is fed to the positive electrode 6, a negative electrode active material is fed to the negative electrode 7, an electrolyte regenerator 11 generating the electrolyte is prepared for a redox flow battery 1 performing a charge and a discharge. The redox flow battery 1 is charged or discharged while the electrolyte regenerator 11 is driven. No large current is required as compared with the conventional intermittent method, the electrolyte regenerator is made compact. |
