PURPOSE:To feed sheets in a stabilized way and to prepare copies at maximum capacity by equipping the title device with a sheet feeding system and a jam detecting means. CONSTITUTION:When a sheet is moved on a paper supply route 60, the reference time of a jam signal for that sheet can be set by the AND of two signals of the signal that are a signal passing a registration gate 21 and the signal of a solenoid off-sensor 81. Even when there is a delay in the moving timing of a previous sheet due to change in magnification and reduction, a timer is started to operate from a point when the previous sheet passes the registration gate 21. Therefore, even when the sheet is fed closely to the previous sheet on the paper supply route 60 ranging from a sheet housing means 71 to the registration gate 21, time is not counted by the timer while the sheet is stopped within the paper supply route 60. As a result, the number of copies made per unit time can be increased. |
