PURPOSE:To delete the decision processing of a overflow detection and to improve the executing speed of division by detecting overflow with exclusive OR between the value of a quotient code bit and the value of the code bit of quotient, for which code-correction is executed. CONSTITUTION:With using a register group 1 for work, an ALU 2 and an internal data bus 3, etc., the quotient is obtained from the absolute value of a divident and a divisor by a retracting method and the value of the quotient is held. The ALU 2 executes the code correction according to the value, which is held in a quotient code holding part 4, to the quotient of the absolute value of the divident and divisor and the value is outputted to an ALU output bus AOB. An overflow detecting part 5 equips with an exclusive OR gate G2 and the exclusive OR between the value, which is held in the quotient code holding part 4, and the value of the code bit of the quotient, for which the code correction is executed, to be outputted to the ALU output bus AOB is operated and outputted. |
