PURPOSE:To obtain a biological function activator, containing a physiologically active substance extracted from infected tissues as an active ingredient and capable of promoting improvement in blood stream fallen into an ischemic state due too blood stream disorder without applying load to heart, etc., and normalizing tissual function. CONSTITUTION:A biological function activator, obtained by inoculating viruses having inflammatory action, preferably viruses belonging to the family Poxvirus into an animal or cultured tissue, such as mammal or birds, grinding the inflamed infected tissues, adding an extracting solvent, removing tissual pieces, deproteinizing the resultant substance, adsorbing the deproteinized substance on an adsorbent, then eluting the adsorbed ingredients and blending the prepared physiologically active substance as an active ingredient with other ingredients, having afore-mentioned action, useful as blood stream improver, numbness improver, remedy for pains accompanied by dysfunction, psyhroesthesia or parethesia improver and safely usable for a long period, since oral administration can be carried out with low toxicity without any side effects. |
