PURPOSE:To obtain the subject composition having long life and good lubricity and advantageous from an economical point of view by adding a specific amount of a polyurea compound as a thickener to a base oil containing a specific amount of naphthenic hydrocarbon having specific physical properties. CONSTITUTION:The objective composition is produced by compounding (A) a base oil containing >=30wt.% of a naphthenic hydrocarbon having a traction coefficient of >=0.08, an aniline point of >=70 deg.C and a crystal disappearing temperature of <=0 deg.C with (B) 2-30wt.% of a polyurea (especially triurea compound) as a thickener. Preferable examples of the naphthenic hydrocarbon are the compounds of formula I and formula II (R1 is methylene, ethylene or methyl- substituted methylene; R3-R5 are methyl or ethyl; l, m and n are 0 or 1) having the total C number of 19-24. |
