<p>In an improved oxygen concentrator the oxygen concentration of the product gas is monitored by a selfcalibrating sensing apparatus. In a preferred embodiment, a microprocessor adjusts the timing cycle for charging the sieve beds to maintain a selected product oxygen concentration. In another preferred embodiment, the power consumption of the compressor is minimized automatically by the microprocessor depending on the amount of product gas withdrawn from the concentrator.</p> |
