PURPOSE: To restore an erroneous pixel of a video picture by having a step of subtracting a correction value depending on the coordinates of a relevant pixel for the purpose of generating a difference pixel from each correct pixel of a reference subpicture. CONSTITUTION: A reproducer 1 is provided with a correct part 4, a decoding circuit 5, a two-dimensional inverse transforming part 6 and a restoring circuit 7. A preset process has the above correct step, and in that step, the correction value depending on the coordinates of the correct pixel is subtracted from each correct pixel of the reference subpicture for the purpose of generating the difference pmxel. These correction values are all decided by an adaptive correction function settled by many correction function coefficients, and the real value of the correction function coefficient is obtained by minimizing the total sum of the square values of the difference pixel. Thus, it reaches a correct approximation of the erroneous pixel. |
