PURPOSE:To improve the imaging of a small organ such as the head by increasing sensitivity by about two times by setting a collimator to a unidimensional converging type one and making the converging distance thereof larger than the distance between said collimator and the opposed detector. CONSTITUTION:Unidimensional converging type collimators 50a-50d are made parallel to a center-of-rotation shaft OR1 and formed so that the converging positions thereof become the surface positions 51a-51d of the opposed collimators. In this case, the effective visual field of a single photon emission CT constituted of a plurality of detectors becomes the inscribed circle formed by the lines connecting the converging positions 51a-51d of the collimators 50a-50d and both ends of the collimators and becomes smaller than that in the case of parallel collimators. However, since detection sensitivity is increased by about two times, this camera is suitable for the imaging of a small organ such as the head or an infant.
