<p>PURPOSE: To minimize weft thread scrap by forming the blow nozzle side opening of a weft thread insertion alignment device disposed between these nozzles and a thread guide path to a funnel-shaped slit shape, thereby making the weft insertion time correspondingly longer. CONSTITUTION: The weft thread insertion alignment device 2 is disposed between the at least two blow nozzles 1 which oscillates together with a read 3 and is a bundle form and a thread guide path 4 and a thread cutter 8 is arranged to face the device via a U-shaped thread guide 9. The alignment device 2 is continuous in series with the blow nozzles 1 in the weft running direction and its opening has the funnel-shaped slit shape 2c and the length thereof corresponds approximately to the oscillation distance 3-3' of the reed 3 during the insertion of the weft threads to the guide path 4. In addition, the device has an outflow opening 2b narrowed in correspondence to its cross-section from the funnel-shaped opening 2a on the blow nozzle 1 side toward the thread guide path 4, thereby making the time helpful for the weft thread insertion longer by as much as the length of the slit 2c in the oscillation motion of the reed 3.</p> |
