摘要 PURPOSE:To decrease initial acceleration and amplitude and thereby make riding quality so better by stopping any generation of damping force when a piston shifts from a neutral position, while when this piston moves toward the neutral position, generating the damping force the other way. CONSTITUTION:When a piston 12 is minutely moved up and down within the range of an interval L of a neutral position, both check valves 24, 26 come to be unfunctional, and thereby a damping generating mechanism 14 or 16 works, generating damping force there. Next, when the piston 12 moves upward beyond this range, fluid resistance of this damping force generating mechanism 14 to affect resistance to this movement is larger than that of a pipe 28 and the check valve 24, so that a liquid in a liquid chamber 32 passes through a pipe 38 and the check valve 24 and comes to flow in an A direction in consequence, thus the damping generating mechanism 14 results in a state of stopping the generation of damping force. In consequence, the piston 12 quickly moves upward. Then, when the piston 12 moves toward the neutral position, the fluid will not flow in the pipe 28 due to action of the check valve 24 so that another damping force generating mechanism 16 works, generating the damping force.
