PURPOSE:To easily observe an original by reading the size of the original based on the size (range) of the original at the time of detection and adding a frame line or a boundary mark in a prescribed shape, which show an original boundary, to a read picture. CONSTITUTION:A frame adding means 300 is provided to add a frame line, which shows the boundary of the original range, or the boundary mark, which shows a frame position, around picture information to be read by a picture reading means 100 based on the original range which is detected by a detecting means 200 to detect the range of the original. Thus, when the output picture of a picture reader is visibly outputted by an output device, the original and a background are made clear by the outline of the original picture. Then, the picture can be easily recognized. |
