PURPOSE:To obtain a sintered body having a uniform, dense and fine structure by constituting a granule with agglomerated particles prepd. by aggregating a fine powder of a ceramic having a specified mean particle diameter or smaller. CONSTITUTION:A material consisting of agglomerated particles prepd. by aggregating a fine powder of a ceramic having a mean particle diameter of 1mum or less. When a granule having this constitution is used for press-molding, the granules are packed each other into the densest state under an initial press pressure. Then, under the intermediate press pressure, each granule is destroyed and each agglomerated particle constituting the granule is packed into the gape which each granule has formed under the densest state. Finally, under a final press pressure, each agglomerated particle is destroyed and the fine powder constituting the agglomerated particle is packed into the gape which each agglomerated particle has formed under the densest state. It is thereby possible to improve extremely bending strength and acid resistance of the sintered body prepd. by using this granule as a raw material. |
