PURPOSE:To prevent the omission of a video signal by providing plural signals to start or to end recording, causing a recording time to be longer than a signal period and executing partial overlapping for the recording of the video signal. CONSTITUTION:A PG signal to accompany the revolution of a magnetic disk is used for the timing of the recording and a second PG signal NPG is generated from a first PG signal APG. The start of the recording is executed by the signal APG and the end of the recording is executed by the signal NPG. The start or end of the recording is determined by either H or L in the output of DFFs 15 and 16 to make the recording control signal of a field, in which the correspondent signal is received, here, when the timing of the above mentioned PG signal is used, the recording period, which is longer than the period of the signal APG or the signal NPG, can be obtained. Thus, the partial overlapping is executed to the recording the first and final video signals and the lack due to the delay of the signal NPG is eliminated.
