The present invention relates to prefabricated and adjustable reinforcing elements for the production of reinforced concrete girders. The technical sector of the invention is the manufacture of reinforcing elements for reinforced concrete girders. The reinforcing element according to the invention consists of two elements 11 and 12 which can slide with respect to one another over a distance equal to a maximum permitted spacing d between the two middle frames 53 and 54, each being fixed on one of the two elements. The longitudinal reinforcement layout 21 and 22, the transverse frames 51, 53 and 52, 54 and the end crossheads 31 and 32, respectively, are produced in a known manner and are fixed together in the factory to form each element. The length of the reinforcing element is adjusted on site to the exact distance required, without modifying the ends and while conforming to the regulation standards.
