The installation for the vacuum removal of waste such as chips and/or dust comprises a collecting network which pneumatically conveys said waste between a working station 2 and a filtering and collecting device 7. The installation possesses, connected to the collector 4, at least one device 11 for mechanically conveying said waste inside said main collector. This mechanical conveying device is preferably an endless screw located in the bottom of the main collector. An adjustment device enables the throughput of air of the main fan 8 to be adjusted to the vacuum demands of each working station 2. <IMAGE>
