PURPOSE: To provide molded cereal grain food, which can be properly heated again by a toaster or the like, by cooking respective grains on specified conditions, cooling these grains and molding them, forming a bark-shaped crust on its surface later and freezing the molded body. CONSTITUTION: Grains 12 or grains 12/pasta 14 are cooked in hot water at the temperature from 190 deg.F to 200 deg.F, the central parts of respective grains 12 are sufficiently made gelatinous, and water from 21b to 31b is absorbed per pound of cereal grains. The cooked cereal grains are cooled to the temperature lower than almost 170 deg.F together with water and spices, and the cereal grains are molded by the small instrument of shearing operation. The surface of a cereal grain molded body 10 is heated and frozen after the bark-shaped crust is formed. This food can be taken by a hand when eating it. |
