<p>PURPOSE:To improve reliability in the case of the high-speed searching of a start ID by searching the leading position of the start ID having no rear end immediately before the leading edge of superimposed recording and erasing the start ID having not rear end from the leading position. CONSTITUTION:Program (P) time, P numbers, and start IDs are recorded in sub-code areas of a magnetic tape by about 300 frames in corresponding to leading positions of programs (n), n+1, n+2, etc., recorded in the PCM area of the tape. In case the P time of a start ID recording period recorded in the sub-code is not at the leading position of a start ID recording period when the P time is instantaneously latched in the reproducing mode at the time of consecutive recording a program after the already recorded (n+1)-th program following the n-th program in a superimposed state, the leading position of the start ID having no rear end immediately before the superimposed recording is searched and the start ID having nor rear end is erased from the leading position by performing high-speed searching in the opposite direction until the leading edge of the superimposed recording after the superimposed recording is completed.</p> |
