PURPOSE:To obtain the subject kneading liquid to be used together with a dental glaze, capable of forming a uniform coating film of a glaze on an artificial tooth and effective in improving the application efficiency of a glaze by mixing a thixotropic agent in an organic solvent having specific viscosity and boiling point. CONSTITUTION:The objective kneading liquid is produced by mixing an organic solvent having a viscosity of <=2,000cp and a boiling point of 150-350 deg.C (e.g., ethylene glycol, glycerol or diethyl phthalate) with a thixotropic agent (e.g., carboxymethyl cellulose or ultrafine silica powder) and, as necessary, compounding the mixture with a surfactant, a thickener, a defoaming agent, etc. The kneading liquid is mixed with a glaze for the production of a crown consisting of a castable ceramic having a color tone similar to natural tooth and beautiful appearance. The dispersibility of the glaze can be improved to form a uniform coating film and the workability such as fluidity and volatility in coating operation can be improved. The above kneading liquid can be applied even to a crown made of porcelain. |
