PURPOSE:To solder sockets by dip soldering concurrently with electronic components, form the sockets with cylindrical conductors, reduce the outer size of a connector housing, and decrease the interval between printed circuit boards by sealing spring contact pieces in blind holes when soldering the sockets of a connector between the printed circuit boards. CONSTITUTION:Cylindrical conductors are used for the sockets 1 of a connector for connecting printed circuit boards, a blind hole 1a is bored in the axis of each cylindrical conductor, a collar 1a-2 is bulged on the end face of the hole 1a, a severable notch peripheral groove 1b is arranged on the outer periphery directly above the low section 1a-1 of the hole 1a. Multiple spring contact pieces 1c-1 formed by cutting out the barrel section of a thin cylindrical conductor to the inside are inserted into the hole 1a. Solder resist 1d is coated on the severed portion A including the vicinity of the peripheral groove 1b, terminal pins 2a made of a conductor are inserted and planted on an insulator block 2b. Sockets 1 are inserted into multiple through holes 3b corresponding to the circuits to be connected on a printed circuit board 3 and soldered by dip soldering concurrently with electronic components 3a. |
