The invention relates to redundant laser gyrometers in which the optical units are preferably grouped in pairs activated at the same frequency and in phase opposition to eliminate the reactions on the supports and in which the errors occurring at each passage through the blind region are compared. The standard deviation of these errors is used to minimise the blind area of each gyrometer of the pair. The invention is applicable anywhere where a low vibration level, a low random operation and especially redundancy facilities are required.
