The subject of the present invention is devices for sealing and for structures with sliding openings and wood verandas (porches). The technical sector of the invention is that of the manufacture and the installation of structural elements, of movable frames (joinery) and of leaktight wood roofing. The devices according to the invention comprise a special U-shaped support metal profile with two brushes 17 rubbing at half-height on a rail 19, which rail enables the frame 1 to slide by virtue of sets of castors 18, embedded and arranged such that leaktightness is always provided between the inside and the outside. An external seal 21, pressed by wind pressure, completes the device, which is suited to any leaktight installation and gives the assembly of sliding openings and verandas (porches) the appearance of being totally made from wood and ease and flexibility of use. <IMAGE>
