PURPOSE:To make it possible to form through holes for venting air during the extrusion process by a method wherein one of a set of rubber extrudates having comb-like crosssections is made into a meandrous form by being oscillated just after extrusion so as to locally fix the projecting parts of the opposed surfaces of both the extrudates by pressure and to form gaps between the remaining projecting parts and the recessed parts of the counterpart extrudate. CONSTITUTION:Extrudates 4A and 4B have comb-like crosssections and are extruded so as to face the respective projecting and recessed parts opposite to each other. A roller 10 is reciprocated in the direction normal to the extrusion direction by the width of two pitch of the projected and recessed parts during the carrying of the extrudate 4A so as to oscillate the extrudate 4A widthwise while the other extrudate 4B is carried straight in the extrusion direction, resulting in bringing in the positional relationship intersecting the projecting and recessed parts of the opposed surfaces with each other. The extrudates are pressed in the opposed directions with roller 11A and 11B so as to be fixed at portions, at which the projecting parts meet each other, by pressure. The vulcanized extrudate 4C is cut longitudinally by the width of three pitch of the projecting and recessed parts and the cut extrudate has through holes 41. Since the obtained dam has through holes for venting, the air between adhesive and the dam escapes through the through holes 41 to the interior side at the bonding of a window glass and no air accumulation develops. |
