PURPOSE:To make molding easily possible and in a short period of time by making use of neither a molding tool nor a compressor, by a method wherein after an appropriate quantity of a liquid thermosetting elastomer has been poured into a metallic reinforcing ring for lining, the same is heated and cured. CONSTITUTION:A shape of a thermosetting elastomer 2a which has appropriate viscosity is regulated by pouring the same directly on the undersurface of a metallic reinforcing ring 1 into an annular state. The same is cured by performing various heating devices such as arrangement on a hot platen or injection of hot air or application of high-frequency further, through which a seal part 2 integrated with the metallic reinforcing ring is formed and a washer seal A is completed. A very small quantity is sufficient for the amount of heat since the seal part 2 whose mass is small is heated directly by making use of neither a molding tool nor a compressor. Moreover, since curing can be performed in a short period of time, continuous line molding becomes possible and a manufacturing cost is reduced. |
