This module comprises a central metal part in the shape of a hemispherical cup 2, the outer face of which is intended to engage in the acetabulum and the lower face of which is fitted with means for fastening an insert used for articulating the head of the prosthesis, this cup being equipped on the one hand at its lower end with a hook 3 which, turned inwards, is intended to be engaged in the obturator canal of the iliac bone, and, on the other hand, in its upper part, with two tabs, the first 4 of which is inclined inwards and forwards with respect to the opening plane of the cup, and the second 5 of which is inclined inwards and backwards with respect to the opening plane of the cup, these two tabs being equipped with means for fastening onto the ilium.
